Site-specific creativity
An exploration of creativity that responds to place, creating opportunities to develop connection and meaning through creative process and creating emphemeral artworks. This is an ongoing body of research initiated in 2022. It is embedded as core aspect of my creative practice and permaculture design studies, woven into my work as a practitioner and producer which I have been exploring as part of my Arts Council England funded Develop Your Creative Practice grant award throughout 2024. As part of this I have been working in collaboration with Blackpool residents to create large-scale public artworks that combine the documentation of change through the seasons with the concepts of reciprocity, growing, tending, celebrating and sustainable food. I’ve been exploring how we can capture and share these interactions, processes, conversations and their yields that are often only visible during the act of them taking place.
I have carried these ideas with me though working in and collaborating with a range of organisations and partners, helping to shape and embed meaningful approaches for connection by planting the seeds and intentions of this work where I have been. My current work explores the potential held here in settings that range from woodlands to community gardens in urban spaces.

nature connectedness and creative practice
Ongoing documentation of activities in outdoor environments, exploring place, change, growth and seasonal rhythms. This is underpinned by a lifetime of exploration of our relationship with nature, and my more recent training and certification as a Forest School Programme Leader in 2022-23.
