Angelica Vanasse is a visual and participatory artist, art education specialist and cultural engagement consultant with roots in Northwest England and New England. With a foundation in art education and creative community engagement she has shaped unique learning experiences and artistic exploration for thousands of learners and collaborators for over 25 years.
Angelica makes spaces for creativity and connection in collaboration with communities with socially engaged approaches. She creates artwork in harmony with nature’s seasonal cycles of growth and change. In her strategic work she is interested in creating meaningful approaches that make ideas, creativity and placemaking tangible, accessible and empowering through learning programmes, educational resources and inspiring events. As a permaculture designer she considers all elements present to shape place-based connection with people care, earth care and future share guiding the journey. She loves to connect with people, participants and possibilities in a tangible way that is rooted in authenticity, action and collaboration. She’s also a baker, maker, gardener and pancake lover.
